I am the cataloging and metadata librarian at SUNY Maritime College in the Bronx, NY. In addition to cataloging, I provide reference services, teach information literacy, and serve as the library's liaison to the Science Department.
I previously worked at Queens Library in Jamaica, NY. I was involved in developing metadata policy, cataloging and workflow design for the library's Digital Archives. My specialties were music performance reference and cataloging in music, arts, sports, and computer and physical sciences.
My research areas include developing a metadata schema for information retrieval from music scores, sound recordings and motion pictures, and developing online videos for asynchronous information literacy instruction. Most recently, I developed a digital library for multilingual, full-text search of film subtitles.
I also direct the library and design information services for the Argento New Music Project, a premiere chamber music ensemble based in New York City. I develop and administer a database that integrates the organization's music collection, concert activities, accounting, and human resources.
