I am a librarian at the Queens Library in Jamaica, NY. My specialties are music performance reference and cataloging in music, arts, sports, and computer and physical sciences. Currently, I am involved in developing metadata policy, cataloging and workflow design for the digital archives of the Long Island Division.
My research areas include developing a metadata schema for information retrieval from music scores, sound recordings and motion pictures, and developing online videos for asynchronous information literacy instruction. Most recently, I developed a digital library for multilingual, full-text search of film subtitles.
I also direct the library and design information services for the Argento New Music Project, a premiere chamber music ensemble based in New York City. I develop and administer a database that integrates the organization's music collection, concert activities, accounting, and human resources.
